Jhon Rodriguez is a Colombian tattoo artist with more than 30 years of professional experience. Born and raised in Bogotá, he founded The Zone Colors, a studio that operated for 17 years and became recognized for its strong artistic identity and the development of his original character series, “Chyrlos”.

After building a long career in Colombia, Jhon moved to the United States, working in Vermont, Miami, and later Portland, Oregon. Each city added new influences and helped shape his approach to custom, composition-driven tattooing.

Jhon is now based in St. Albans, Vermont, where he runs his studio One Hundred Candles, focused on high-quality craftsmanship and collaborative design.

In 2023, One Hundred Candles organized Vermont’s first tattoo convention, bringing together artists from across the country and offering the local community a broader view of contemporary tattooing through an inclusive and creative environment.

Jhon specializes in animal tattoos, Japanese-inspired pieces, and large-scale custom work. His process emphasizes clarity, strong composition, and clean execution to create tattoos built to age well and reflect each client’s vision.
